New work from Max Whetter

Great to see Max Whetter’s second year show in his degree course at Cornwall College, Pool, last month (June 2019). He was inspired by the famous self portrait by the 18th century Cornish artist John Opie at the Royal Cornwall Museum.  Max won our competition for a new skateboard design in 2016. At the time he was working as a burger chef in Newquay.

This work now moves on to the Museum in Truro later this month. Hopefully there’ll be a chance to see Opie’s original portrait as well as Max’s fabulous new paintings.
