The British Sari Story – Zahra Ahmed and her tunic sari

 

The British Sari Story competition for a British Sari was featured at the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace in October 2010.

One of the winners was Zahra Ahmed, from Peterborough, who created this ‘mini’ sari  while still at school, in her final year of A levels.
Her polished and sophisticated design impressed the judges and Amit Rastogi of RCKC, the sari retailer based in Wembley who made up a selection of the winning designs.
